Me and my father started the team in 2005 to enter the Brazilian Formula Renault championship. The team was still very small and we had too much to learn about the car and the team management, so results weren't very good, especially if you see how the category was managed by the organization and the structure concerning engine development.

Anyway, at the end of the 2006 it was announced that Formula Renault in Brazil was coming to an end, which caught us, and everyone else by surprise. Together with some of the other teams we tried to get the championship back in 2007, but with a different name. Unfortunately because of the low number of cars on the grid, the championship was not restarted, so our team spend the rest of the 2007 season preparing to enter the South America Formula 3 for 2008.

To enter Formula 3 we acquired the services of more professional and capable mechanics and engineers, and thanks to the work of our new Team Boss, Deivid Dias Rosa, results were present right from the start, even if we had only acquired the car a month before the start of the championship.

In the first race we were in 3rd place until one car behind tried to overtake and took both of us out. Fortunately, we were able to get back in the race and score our first points in F3 with a 7th place.

2008 was a learning year. We had a few mechanical problems, and we had to miss two weekends (four races) because of the lack of sponsors, but overall it was a good year and by the end of it, we were challenging most experience teams up front. So we had high hopes for 2009, but we were cautious because we would have new cars for 2009.

The 2009 championship started with a bang, literally! Again like in 2008 we were taken out by a car that tried to overtake (same team by the way), but this time it was a more serious crash and we couldn't continue in the race. Luckily the damage wasn't too serious and the car was ready for the race before the end of the day.
Second race was way better with a 4th place, repeating our best result in the final race of 2008, even with the original gear ratio that came with the car (which was too long for the Brasilia track), but we had very high hopes for the next race in our hometown of Curitiba.

In first race we took 2nd place and it was our first podium and a result we were expecting because of our pace during practice session. But the 2nd race was great; I was able to jump to 3rd at the first corner (having started in 5th). I was in the lead after the first two drivers (and the other two that had started in front of me, but I had already overtaken both before) were penalized with a drive trough penalty because of jump start. I was in the lead from there on, and I only had to keep a good pace to take our first win in the series.

We believe we still have much to learn and to improve, but our team is capable of taking any challenge. With hard work and the support of our sponsors (Technocoat, Cipapel and Comercial Nossa Senhora do Libano), we can improve even further our pace and results, to become one of the Top motorsport teams in the South America Formula 3.

I would like to thank all the F1-S-R community for this space and all your support for me and my team, and also a special thanks to Stuart, Sam and John, for everything they have done for me.

Thank you very much.

I started my career in motor racing in 1999 in Go Karts. I was still 13 years old but for racing here this is a late age, because drivers usually start competing in official championships at 8 years old, so I had to learn things at a faster pace to recover the lost time.

First two years of my career was more about learning the basics and racing in regional championships to get better without spending too much, since the cost of racing was starting to get higher at the time.

But the 3rd season was a year to start getting good results in the main championships or to stop racing. Fortunately I won my first major championship before the middle of the year and later I won the State Championship.

I never had much luck in the Brazilian Championship having a 6th place as best result, but at least in the Brazil Cup I got a 3rd place in my last official championship in Go Karts.

For 2005 I started my own team, together with my Father, to compete in Formula Renault. It was a tough start and results weren't very good. Plus the fact that Brazilian Formula Renault was over at the end of 2006 and I had no place to race in 2007, so that was a very slow year for me, not being able to race.

But for 2008 we started racing again, only this time in South America Formula 3 and results have been very good since the beginning. And having won my first race in 2009 was really great, and the rest of the season looks very promising, but I've still got a lot to improve if I want to continue my career in motorsport.
